In a series of sessions, learning takes place through a combination of touch, movement, description, and physical exercises to increase your awareness and the ability to take care of your personal well-being. Every session aims to teach and train the application of different techniques, in order to strengthen the ability to be attentive with the whole body and use this ability in every day life.
Throughout the process you learn to deal with pain, fear, and other feelings in a constructive way, in order to gain energy. Often we have learned to ignore or avoid uncomfortable sensations, or we feel overwhelmed and powerless when we experience them. As a result of that we often experience stress or other destructive physical symptoms and limit our own actions and reactions out of the fear of being hurt, rejected, or let down.
It is possible to use breathing actively and in varied ways in order to gain the energy necessary to create in-depth change. Thus a crucial part of the learning process will be learning concrete methods and variations of breathing.
A minimum of 4-6 sessions is recommended in order to train different techniques and create sustainable change. However, each learning process is different and the duration varies depending on the individual situation and aims defined at the start.
