Learning to stand in a new way at the festival – and reduce backpain

It’s the first day of a festival I have been excited about going to.
I arrive there and feel my belly a bit tight. Actually, maybe I ate something slightly bad. Was the aubergine ripe? Well – I don’t want to be thinking about this right now, because I want to be there, listen to music, hang out with friends, explore this space.
Walking through the festival, enjoying the first concerts.
My belly is tight, I feel a bit nauseous. I don’t want to be busy with my belly now. I want to be here. I don’t want to be nauseous. I want to listen to music.

Thoughts about menstruation, pain and ‘not more than others’

How many times have I heard, when I ask a client, whether they experience pain or discomfort around the time of their menstruation.

‚Not more than others‘
‚Only the first few days‘
‚When I take painkillers, its ok‘
‚Well yeah, of course‘
‚Yeah, just like my mother‘
‚In our family it’s normal to have migraine the day before‘
‚It’s the hormones’

Different scopes of a practice of presence

In April I published about a book about practice of presence and then… in the end of the month, after finishing the project (which meant quite a few hours of sitting at the computer, writing, thinking, rewriting…) and after a winter in which I closely followed world news, trying to figure out what is going on, I felt a bit exhausted. I was wondering, what really matters and even with all the knowledge and experience I have, I couldn’t find “the exercise” to do, to really notice myself, my surroundings and to sense the next step.

  • “Aninia has a very special ability to understand the body and its reactions to pain. She is thorough, trusting and not least, a good teacher.”

    – Stine, 28

  • “… to just see what happens and enjoy the moment. This is a great gift. Thank you for it.”

    – Anne, 32

  • “I have been going to Grinberg Sessions with Aninia … This gives me more freedom in being who I want to be both in the workplace and in my personal, close relationships.”

    – Dorthe, Head of Payroll, 42

  • “I learnt to open up to our physical language as the mirror reflection of our mental state, and to date I can say this led to better control and confidence in dealing with both good and hard times.”

    – Francesca, Project Manager, 35
